Panama is full of gorgeous beachside locations. That is certainly not a secret. The thing is, however, with two coasts of beautiful beaches on both the Pacific and Caribbean, there are literally hundreds of towns to put your feet up, catch some waves, or soak in some rays. Picking which one to visit or live in, thanks to this, can be difficult. Luckily, there’s Pedasi. Pedasi, Panama is quickly becoming a go-to destination for travelers looking for the beach experience without all the crowds and traffic, but with everything else that makes Panama’s coastline so special.

Pedasi, Panama

What people love so much about Pedasi, Panama

For starters, let’s go with the old adage: location, location, location. Pedasi has one of the best locations in the country when it comes to remote nature, good surf, and unspoiled land/beaches. It’s far enough from the city to be a destination all on its own, but accessible enough from the country’s airports and cities to make it accessible via both land and air. Pedasi is essentially the go-to spot on Panama’s Pacific coast if you’re looking for a non-commercial beach experience, and a unique vacation without the all-inclusives, traffic, or day-trippers from the city.

Another big draw to Pedasi as a tourist destination is the surf. Panama has flown under the radar for some time as a surfing destination, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have good surf. Pedasi is surrounded by beaches with exceptional waves that aren’t as common elsewhere on that coast, let alone the Azuero Peninsula, where Pedasi is located. Surfers love that this area isn’t overcrowded, or overdeveloped, and because of this, it’s becoming a destination for people in Panama who love surfing, and those who come to Panama to surf.

Where to stay in Pedasi, Panama

As far as beaches go, the most popular spot in Pedasi these days is Playa Venao. There you’ll find a few great options for lodging, that spans multiple budgets and tastes.
